Welcome!

If you are seeking God’s love, you are welcome.

If you can share God’s love, we are with you.

If you can show God’s love, we praise God for you.

A distinctive feature of Methodist theology is a belief in “prevenient grace”, which means that the Holy Spirit works in people’s hearts and souls all throughout their lives, opening every human to the awareness of God’s love so that at some point they may hear the good news of what Christ has done – not just for all people in a general way, but specifically for each one of us as a beloved and unique child of God – and respond through a committed life of faith, thanks, and joy.

We therefore welcome everyone regardless of the categories by which the world defines people.  In the Bible [Galatians 3:28] we read that “there is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male and female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus”, and we extend that to mean that we must, like God, affirm the worth and dignity of people without reservations about their ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, physical or intellectual capacity, social or economic situation, age, and so forth.
